No estoy diciendo que domino el espanol. Todavia estoy aprendiendo el idioma. Aunque no escribo ni hablo bien, puedo entender lo que oigo en espanol y tambien puedo leer muy bien. Estas son tres recomendaciones para aprender espanol.

Es importante tener una introduccion a la lengua, y los cursos de espanol estan disenados cuidadosamente para ensenar la gramatica y el vocabulario basico. Para aprender espanol, recomiendo los cursos de Living Language, pero cualquier curso te sirve bien. La verdad es que la gramatica es necesaria, y los cursos la cubren bien.

Crei listas de miles de palabras. Escribi por mano cada palabra que no reconocia. Casi nunca revisaba las listas. Lo importante es el proceso de escribir las palabras.

Cuando estoy estudiando español, prefiero leer libros de niños. Son faciles para comprender, y son hechos para enseñar el idioma. El vocabulario no es dificil y las historias son divertidas.

I created lists of thousands of words. I wrote every word that I didn't recognize by hand. I almost never revisited the lists. The important thing is the process of writing down words.

When I'm studying Spanish, I prefer to read kid's books. They're easy to understand, and they're made to teach the language. The vocabulary isn't difficult and the stories are fun.
