The Wisdom of Dogs
As Plato says, dogs are philosophers. He says this simply on the basis that they bark at people they don't know, and are friendly with people that they do know. Hence, they rely on knowing to make judgments, an important aspect of philosophy.
I got to thinking where dogs get their wisdom from. I think it's their noses. Relying on the pun, "the nose knows," dogs continually seek knowledge through their nostrils. It's obvious that they sniff around the grass to see which blade will impart knowledge to them. Once the grass has given its wisdom to the dog, the dog repays the grass by "watering" it. It's only when the dog finds the wisdom it seeks that it decides to water the grass as a favor.
It's all very ridiculous.
